Feel Like Yourself Again with Vestibular Rehab.

Many people struggle with dizziness, unsteadiness, vertigo and balance problems. While there are numerous causes of these symptoms, a large percentage originates from a problem with the part of the inner ear and the brain that helps control balance and eye movements. This is known as the vestibular system.

If disease or injury damages this system, a vestibular disorder can result. Vestibular disorders are common and can affect people of all ages.

I am so grateful to receive Matt's professional attention. His inital assessment was thorough, inviting me to share not just what was troubling me (my knee) but how much I cycled, what I did to recover, my eating, sleeping and lifestyle habits that needed to be taken into consideration if I wanted to continue to cycle 40-50km per day. This was all done in a comfortable, non-judgemental way that had me realize that a holistic approach to my recovery was my responsibility - and better yet - within my power. I left with a set of exercises and suggestions on how I might adjust my clip-in bike shoes, bike pedals, seat and handle bar height that could be contributing to my overuse injury. On my second visit, he set about to massage my muscles & tendons and adjust my knee position. I left feeling much better and very hopeful that with everything Matt and I were working on - together - I will enjoy a full recovery. I am grateful for Matt's assessment skills and discerning therapies!read more
