Ultrasound Guided Injections

Ultrasound-guided injections allow the practitioner to visualize the needle in real time as it enters the body and traverses to the desired location

Taking Health and Recovery Seriously with Ultrasound Guided Injections

Our clinic takes your health and recovery very seriously. For this reason, ultrasound-guidance is used with most of the injection procedures we offer to ensure optimal results and aid the provider in seeing and avoiding potential complications in real-time.

In addition to being able to provide increased precision with injections, using ultrasound also allows us to visualize the fluid dynamics / flow so that we can ensure that the treatment is being evenly distributed and placed exactly where it is needed.

How Do Ultrasound Guided Injections Work?

Ultrasound-guided injections are performed in a similar way as traditional injections. To ensure image clarity, an ultrasound gel (or other medium) is applied to the skin. The gel conducts soundwaves between the skin and the ultrasound probe to ensure the reflected sound waves have minimal interference and produce a clear, accurate image. The probe, also known as a transducer or scanner, is then placed near or adjacent to the targeted area (tendon, joint, etc.). Once the correct anatomic landmarks are identified on the monitor, the injection is provided using a hypodermic needle and syringe.

Mary Wong Colebrook is an absolute delight. From the first time I met with her for vestibular therapy, she demonstrated her expertise in the field. She was able to resolve my vertigo in the initial session. As it is a recurring ear crystal issue, she's has told me not to suffer with it and she will make ever effort to squeeze me in as soon as possible. She is a wonderful therapist and person!read more

Mary Wong Colebrook is an amazing physiotherapist. She is friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging. I have had 3 treatments for a painful foot condition and I can't believe the benefits. Mary quickly identified the root issue offering exercises to do to address it while treating the pain and tension in my body during our sessions. I am so glad I found her, she was recommended to me by a friend who also had great success through her treatments. Thank you Mary!read more

Matt Rose has helped me bounce back from a shoulder injury, back issues, and most recently bicep tendonitis. Basically he’s the reason I’m still held together like a functioning human. As an accomplished athlete himself, he gives spot-on recovery advice and even explains what not to do during the sports I insist on playing anyway. Also, I’m fairly certain he has the grip strength of a gorilla. Possibly two gorillas. 😆Highly recommend!read more
